1. When was this organization founded?
The organization started January 8, 2014. We started out with 4 people and as we were out promoting, we lost 1 and picked up 2 people that believe in our cause. Now we have 5 workers and 3 on the board of director.
2. What is the purpose of this organization?
Our mission is to deter texting, talking and driving. Shut it Down mission is to save lives, by promoting no cell phone usage when driving. We will be sending a team to support the families of those that have lost a love one due to the texting, talking and driving. Holding candle light vigil, making bracelets with their love one name on it as well as Shut It Down name on it. We will go into the community schools, and colleges promoting Shut It down and saving lives.
3. How can I help out?
By spreading the word to friends and family members about the danger of cell phone usage and driving. We will asking for donations, needed to help with local fundraisers, to further our cause of saving lives.

Yes, all donations are a tax deductible, you can request a receipt on the spot or we can mail you a receipt, whatever is convenient for the donor.

7. How does this benefit me?
It will benefit you by helping to save lives. Texting, talking and not wearing seat belt deaths are becoming a serious threat all around the world, it surpasses drinking and driving deaths and has now been labeled an epidemic. Wearing Shut it Down bracelets will remind you of a life that has been lost and remind you it’s not worth the risk.
